الأستاذ عبد اللطيف عبيد دكتور في اللسانيات العربية التطبيقية (معجمية، مصطلحية، تأليف المعاجم، ترجمة علمية وتقنية). من عام 1978 إلى عام 2008، درس في المعهد العالي للغات بجامعة قرطاج. باحث في اللغة والثقافة والتربية، وله فيها منشورات كثيرة، ومؤلف قواميس لغوية ومصطلحية عديدة
عضو مجمع اللغة العربية بدمشق (منذ 2003)، عضو مجمع اللغة العربية الليبي (منذ 2014)، عضو مؤسس وعضو الهيئة الإدارية للمجلس الدولي للغة العربية (منذ 2012)، وهو أيضًا عضو في الجمعية التونسية لتاريخ الطب والصيدلة منذ عام 2019
من 2014 إلى 2019 أمينا اعام لجامعة الدول العربية ورئيسًا لمركز جامعة الدول العربية في تونس. من عام 2011 إلى عام 2013، شغل السيد عبد اللطيف عبيد منصب وزير التربية الوطنية في تونس. من 2011 إلى 2014، شغل عضوية عضو المجلس الوطني التأسيسي بتونس. من 2010 إلى 2013، كان رئيسًا لاتحاد المترجمين العرب في بيروت، أخيرًا، منذ عام 2019، كان عضوًا في مجلس أمناء مركز دراسات الوحدة العربية ببيروت، ومن 1999 إلى 2017، عضوًا في مجلس الإدارة وعضوًا في المجلس التنفيذي للمنظمة العربية للترجمة بيروت
يعمل السيد عبد اللطيف عبيد أيضًا كخبير لدى الألكسو (المنظمة العربية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم) والإيسيسكو (المنظمة الإسلامية للتربية والثقافة والعلوم) في مجالات اللغة العربية والتربية ونشر الثقافة العربية الإسلامية
Monsieur Abdellatif Abid est docteur en linguistique arabe appliquée (lexicologie, terminologie, lexicographie, traduction scientifique et technique). De 1978 à 2008, il a enseigné à l’Institut supérieur des langues de l’Université de Carthage. Il est chercheur et auteur d’une centaine d’articles sur la langue, la linguistique et la culture arabes et a participé à l’élaboration d’une dizaine de dictionnaires de langue et de terminologie.
Membre de l’Académie de langue arabe de Damas (depuis 2003), de l’Académie de langue arabe de Tripoli (Libye) et membre fondateur du Conseil international de la langue arabe à Beyrouth (depuis 2012), il est également membre de la Société tunisienne de l’histoire de la médecine et de la pharmacie, et ce, depuis 2019.
De 2011 à 2013, Monsieur Abid a occupé le poste de Ministre de l’éducation nationale en Tunisie. De 2011 à 2014, il a siégé à la Chambre nationale constituante en Tunisie. De 2010 à 2013, il était président de l’Union des traducteurs arabes à Beyrouth, puis, de 2014 à 2019, Secrétaire général adjoint de la Ligue des États arabes et Président du Centre de la Ligue des États arabes à Tunis. Enfin, il est depuis 2019 membre du Conseil d’administration du Centre des études sur l’unité arabe à Beyrouth et, de 1999 à 2017, membre du Conseil d’administration et membre du Conseil exécutif de l’Organisation arabe de traduction à Beyrouth.
Monsieur Abid est aussi expert-conseil auprès de l’ALECSO (Organisation Arabe pour l’Éducation, la Culture et les Sciences) et de l’ISESCO (Organisation Islamique pour l’Éducation, la Culture et les Sciences) dans les domaines de la langue arabe, de l’éducation et de la diffusion de la culture arabo-islamique à l’étranger.
Mr. Abdellatif Abid is a doctor in applied Arabic linguistics (lexicology, terminology, lexicography, scientific and technical translation). From 1978 to 2008, he taught at the Institut supérieur des langues de l’Université de Carthage. He is a researcher and author of a hundred articles on Arabic language, linguistics and culture and has participated in the development of a dozen dictionaries of language and terminology.
Member of the Arabic Language Academy of Damascus (since 2003), of the Arabic Language Academy of Tripoli (Libya) and founding member of the International Council of the Arabic Language in Beirut (since 2012), he is also a member of the Tunisian Society for the History of Medicine and Pharmacy since 2019.
From 2011 to 2013, Mr. Abid served as Minister of National Education in Tunisia. From 2011 to 2014, he sat in the National Constituent Chamber in Tunisia. From 2010 to 2013, he was President of the Union of Arab Translators in Beirut, then, from 2014 to 2019, Deputy Secretary General of the League of Arab States and President of the Center of the League of Arab States in Tunis. Finally, since 2019 he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Center for Arab Unity Studies in Beirut and, from 1999 to 2017, a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Council of the Arab Translation Organization in Beirut.
Mr. Abid is also a consultant to ALECSO (Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization), and ISESCO (Islamic for Culture, Education and Science Organization) in the fields of the Arabic language, education and the dissemination of Arab-Islamic culture abroad.
